Iron Chef Competition

Our family has been working on how to be team players. At our family meeting, about one month ago, Brad decided to divide our family up into teams. Janel, Elizabeth, Luke is one team and Evan, Moriah, and Annalise make up the second team. He did this because we were noticing that some team players of our family were not appreciating the talents and gifts of all the team players. We all have strengths and weaknesses to offer to our team. Some were getting frustrated with the weaknesses of others, because primarily that is not their weakness. We have had some friendly team competitions that has brought joy and once again appreciation for each unique family member. This weekend sport was an "Iron Chef Competition" Each team had to come up with a menu and cook for the family that night. Brad, Janel, and Evan were the judges. Notice how Luke and Elizabeth are dress alike. Janel could not help in this sporting event and neither could Evan help his team. But we gave lots of encouraging words. I'll post Moriah and Annalise picture tomorrow. Any other ideas on team building?

  1. Great idea! Can we borrow it? The plate arrangement is very appealing. Whose idea was it to wear matching shirts? I can see that you are on the same team. Way to go Elizabeth and Luke. Can't wait to see what Moriah and Annalise has for us to view. Future ideas? How about designing an obstacle. One person could be blind folded and their team mate could coach them through it. Whichever team has the quickest time wins.

  2. I like Michael's idea. We want to know what was on the menu? Very fancy indeed. Great idea to pull the family together.
